Franklin County Children's Task Force Programs

The Franklin County Children's Task Force offers the following programs to families in Franklin County and Livermore Falls.

  • Bullying/Teasing Prevention Program: Staff work with local district elementary and middle schools helping facilitate a nonviolent learning atmosphere. Click on the link above for more details. 
  • Parent Infant 'Coffee Klatches':The Franklin County Children’s Task Force is pleased to announce an opportunity for new parents and their infants to meet each other and possibly create their own ongoing support structures.  There will be 4 ‘Coffee Klatches’ in 2008 for parents of infants.  Coffee, tea, juice, fruit and bagels will be provided along with time to chat about the reality of being a parent.  There will be developmental appropriate activities and information about infants available.  The ‘Coffee Klatches’ will be held at the Franklin County Children’s Task Force office on 113 Church St Farmington from 10:00 A.M. to 11:30 A.M. on Jan 23, 2008 for parents and babies ages birth to 9 months  (This gives last years parents a chance to meet)  April 23, 2008 or July 23, 2008 or Oct 22, 2008  - Parents, prenatal and babies birth to 6 months
  • Wild and Wonderful Story time and Playgroup:   We are hosting a Storytime and Playgroup designed to let parents just play and read with their children.  It will be held at the FCCTF building at 113 Church Street, Farmington, and will be on Tuesdays from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. beginning September 11, 2007.  Contact us at 778-6960 or 1-888-429-6960 for more information or to sign up. .
  • Parent Education:The Franklin County Children’s Task Force is happy to announce its new schedule.

  • Growing Healthy Families: A partnership with Franklin Community Health Network designed especially to support first-time parents of children from birth to age five. 
  • Parent Talk Line: 778-6960 locally or toll free 1-888- 429-6960, parents are encouraged to call.
  • Parent Resource Library: Parenting information in the form of books, videos, pamphlets, and other written material for parents and professionals.
  • Kids First Program: A four-hour workshop designed to help address problems and promote reduction of the negative effects of divorce. For parents only.
