Amazing things have been happening
in the
schools with the

Bullying and Teasing Prevention Program

It started this year with the pledge students took in 
Strong
s

Along with many other initiatives, two after school programs were offered at Cascade Brook School.  A program called "Boys Mentoring and Advocacy" and another called "Step Up to Sisterhood" allowed both boys and girls to be challenged to discover excellence within themselves in a cooperative and supportive atmosphere.

These programs are available to all schools in Franklin County.  If you have any questions and/or would like to have these programs at your school, please contact us (email fcctf@fcctf.org) and we will be happy to speak with you about them.  This is a very exciting opportunity and we are happy to offer these strengths-based programs.

Wild and Wonderful
Story Time and Playgroup

We at the Franklin County Children’s Task Force (FCCTF) would like to invite parents and their children to have a chance to read and play.  We are hosting a Storytime and Playgroup designed to let parents just play and read with their children.  It will be held at the FCCTF building at 113 Church Street, Farmington, and will be restarting in the fall.

 *The Clothing Exchange will be closed during the Storytime and Playgroup.

New this year -  a chance for
Parents of Infants to meet at
the Coffee Klatch

The Franklin County Children’s Task Force is pleased to announce an opportunity for new parents and their infants to meet each other and possibly create their own ongoing support structures.  There will be 4 ‘Coffee Klatches’ in 2008 for parents of infants.  Coffee, tea, juice, fruit and bagels will be provided along with time to chat about the reality of being a parent.  There will be developmental appropriate activities and information about infants available.  The ‘Coffee Klatches’ will be held at the Franklin County Children’s Task Force office on 113 Church St Farmington.

When and Who:
January 23, 2008  - Parents and babies ages birth to 9 months  (This gives last years parents a chance to meet)
April 23, 2008 or July 23, 2008 or Oct 22, 2008  - Parents, prenatal and babies birth to 6 months
WHERE:  Franklin County Children's Task Force
TIME:  10:00 A.M. to 11:30 A.M.
 *The Clothing Exchange will be closed during the Coffee Klatch.
